    Default EB Forum Game Simulation

Hey guys! I'd like to invite you guys to play in an easy and simplified simulation of the classical world, loosely based around EB.

You can take on a ruler of any nation and expand it through force of arms, allying and attacking other nations as you see fit. You have to be careful so you don't leave your nation without leadership, which could lead it into a civil war and the breakaway of other nations already under your control!

It is being hosted in the Gameroom's subforum here.

Basically you start as one of the possible nations in a turn-based game. Players each send in their turns via PM and then I go to the next turn. Each turn is 10 years so 270 BCE, next turn is 260 BCE, etc. The winner is determined by a score based on standing army and resource/army income numbers. Since alliances = "Don't attack me, you big meanie" you pretty much need to watch your back at all times. During the course of the game leaders die and new countries will probably arise such as Parthia, Bactria, Persia, etc. The game is mostly done by interaction between the different players with each other. Other than that, it is a very simple game. This is a first version which will be more of a test to see how it goes!

Here's the map with the nations and the provinces:

Most nations are still free, so if you are interested, join in and you'd be most welcome!

    Kinda similar.

If anybody is interested in the game, have a look at the rest of the Gameroom and Tavern. So many people just come into the EB forum and never visit the rest of the org, there's a lot more here than just EB.

Yeap, you can say it's sorta similar. The rules are pretty simple. You have 5 "resources": Infantry, Cavalry, Gold, Wood and Navy. Infantry, Cavalry and Navy are used to attack other provinces. As you take more provinces, you gain whatever the province gives you, on a turn-basis. Obviously, it is recommended that the small countries ally together when facing a larger opponent (As in real life).

You can also do plenty other things like spying or trying to assassinate other characters, etc. When I feel that I can't go on hosting the game, or it reaches a far enough stage with only a few behemoths, I'll call it a day, and we'll calculate who is the winner. Overall, it shouldn't occupy more than two minutes a day, if you aren't gonna get involved in diplomacy and roleplaying with others.

You should make it like Diplomacy rather than risk. >: D
Fighting isn't about winning, it's about depriving your enemy of all options except to lose.

Btw, antisocialmonkey, provided you are a small country faced by a big one, I'd suggest you do diplomacy if you want to survive. :P You're not forced to, per se, but certain situations might compel you to.
