Looks fantastic and well advanced. I have often thought of such a Mod - has the great attraction of variety but also feasible historically for one power to conquer - or for little powers to try to survive (do I spot the Genoese and Venetians in there at a few coastal locations??). There would be lots of fun factions to play. If you need an anglophone historian for any text, very happy to help.

Here are some mid 13th century illustrations of Seljuk Turks that may be useful to give a feel to the period. Note the occasional kite shield, caparisoned horse and drummers on camels.

Have you given any thought to whether this mod will work in hotseat mode for multiplayer campaigns? It looks like it would be nicely balanced for a game like that but it depends how the script is implemented whether it is easy to run one or not...
