Recent Bannings

There has been a recent banning spree going on here, it seems. I have a nagging suspicion that Caravel bought the farm, because under his username, rather that "member" it says "guest", which seems to be a euphemism here for "this person has been banned". However, that is not all. To top this off, we just had a double-whammy banning four days ago, two in the same day! Megas Methuselah, and Napoleon The Emperor Of Europe, who I have only ever seen once, and that was in the Entrance Hall, where one would think bannings would be sparse. So, why were these people banned? And is it permanent?

Caravel asked for his account to be disabled. He's been posting under his other name, for the last few days. Whether he will go back to the old account, i dunno.

As for banning people it's regular policy not to discuss the disciplinary actions taken against members unless those members do so first. At least not so publicly. This is done out of respect of the privacy for those who may be involved.

I disabled my own account as Monk said.

I'm not familiar with the other member - a quick review of his recent posts may provide some answers though.

It's pretty common for people to get banned for a day or two if they've been naughty. I wouldn't worry about it the people who got banned will be back sooner or later.
