    Default Upgrading my computer

I was a little disappointed first seeing the requirements for TWS2 but so far it's turned out that it players very well, as long as I keep to Normal unit size and Medium graphics settings. I can even play battles online without any problems. Still, I have been thinking about upgrading my computer so I can turn the unit size up. This is what I have:

    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8300 @ 2.50GHz
    RAM: 8.00 GB
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260

I was wondering what the best thing to upgrade would be to improve performance. It seems pretty obvious I have enough RAM. I wasn't sure which of the other two needed replacing more, though...

Word is that TW:S2 will take advantage of all four cores in your quad, so the easiest way to get a boost would probably be to upgrade the video card.

    Other options:
    • SSD disk for gaming. I've yet to use one, but people say the speed boost is very real.
    • Replace RAM/CPU/mobo with a Sandy Bridge solution. Expensive, but you will see a speed boost.

But I think the videocard is the obvious play. The GTX260 wasn't top of the line in 2008, and it's three years on. I'm guessing it's your bottleneck.
