Campaigns

With the Seljuk Turks campaign ending (only 40 years left) - https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showt...Turks-campaign - I've decided to start three more campaigns using the same XL Mod 3.0. Consider them three mini AARs as I don't have the time to play them extensively each day (writing instead, check the links in my signature ) but I will update them every other day with my progress and pictures included.
I hope you will enjoy the mini-AAR that I'm attempting.

Campaigns info - XL Mod 3.0, Expert, Glorious Achievements setting, each faction starts with 50.000 florins, Early Period XL

And without further ado, here's some quick info regarding the campaigns.

English campaign

- 1100 - took Wales and started spamming Barques from Mercia to help my trade and protect
- preparing an invasion to take mainland France, this will be a BIG problem because of the 50.000 florins starting treasury which affords the AI more money to take troops

Novgorod campaign

- 1090 - Teching up my only province and recruiting Slav Warriors to invade Estonia, Livonia, Finland and Muscovy before the Lithuanians to my south take them
- the advantage of cheap Vikings and large, replenishable Boyar unit from the king makes it really effective in the first years, looking forwards to carve out an early empire

Byzantine Empire

- 1130 - teched up Constantinople and kept my troops intact, Seljuk Turks are rampaging along but I'm keeping them as a buffer because in 100 years the Mongols are coming
- building boats, merchants and farms to start my economy up, I can rely on Byzantine infantry and spearmen for the moment, no need for expensive units
