Default SSD Boot Drive + 3.5" Main Drive

I'm looking to upgrade my PC. The first port of call is upgrading my RAM, but that has already been decided (2x G.Skill Trident F3-16000 2x2GB or 1x G.Skill Trident F3-16000 4x2GB). The second is upgrading my hard-drive set-up. I currently have a very average WD Caviar Blue, but I want to requestion that to put into the file server I'm building (which will also get my current RAM), and replace it with a SSD boot drive and a 3.5" main drive. For the main drive I'm looking at a Samsung Spinpoint F3, but I know nothing about SSDs. Any advice?

I have zero experience with SSDs, but from what I gather the new Z68 Intel chipset supports the ability to do SSD caching of your most frequently accessed files. If you're going to get one for your boot drive, I wouldn't go with anything less than 128gb, given modern OS requirements and accounting for app installation, such as office, etc. OCZ's Vertex series have consistently done very well in reviews, from what I've read.

Would like to suggest you go with this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231428 for your RAM. Those Trident deals you listed look very overpriced for what they are, the RAM package I suggested overclocks very well (provided you have good airflow over it), plus having 2 RAM sticks instead of 4 is much easier on the RAM controller and is much easier to OC.
