    Question is takeing britain early in the game a good move?

    hi all,

    just started a new game with house of bruiti ( wrong spelling?) and i have just take over all of britain and ireland, my plan is to spreak out over northern europe and crush those savages :P

    but is this a good plan?

    all views welcome

    Before I start I would like to note that I am not sure I understand your plan. If your plan is to go with ships to Britain and take it over then my below post is relevant. If you are going to fight your way through France then I am not sure if it is a good plan because you may want to avoid war with Britannia until you have killed the Gauls.

    Well, I always find it to be a good plan to work your way out of a corner. When you have taken Britain you can have relativly few soldiers there making it the a great source of money. But since you are playing the Brutii your capital is far away from Britain which may result in some civil disorder. I would suggest a Migration campaign(leaving your first settlements and make new ones in Britain) because that is a lot more fun. But taking Britain might upset the Senate because they want you to take Greece.

    To sum up, I would think migration campaign is the most fun even though it is the most dangerous. If you are planning on winning then I think you will have most luck just following the Senate bidding for the first turns. That would leave Julii with the barbarians, you with greege and the Scipii with africa.
