    Default Writing novels?

I would like to ask, out of pure curiosity, whether any fellow Orgahs have attempted to write, currently working on or already published a novel/novella/short story collection or anything that is literature and is publishable (screenplays as well).

Have you attempted to write a novel? Have you finished one already? If you have, have you published it, or have you not?

Feel free to talk about even of the weakest attempts, it still is an attempt at something grand.

To start off this thread, I want to mention that I personally finished two historical novels and have three more in the works, one of them which is a completely new and revamped version of the chapters posted here of Fall of Constantinople (link in my sig).

I would like to hear now of your exploits, my fellow writers.

I will try to pay some attention to the Noble descendant of the Takeda clan. It would be very disgraceful and dangerous to ignore such a strength. Unfortunately, it won't be this week...

Actually, I write for fun only. The other reason is that I try to improve my English... which leads me to the point that it takes a lot of time to write several pages in English and then to proof-read and proof-read until I post it. And once I have posted it, I realise it does not sound that well and then... anyway, let's go back to work.

I used to dabble in writing. I liked non rhyming poems and short stories. None published, I never made an attempt. I call them deep delves into my subconsious, others call them confusing. :/ No problem though, the effort is still enjoyable. Most have been lost in the belly of old PCs and floppy disks long ago, but I have a few that still remain.

With all of this AAR writing, perhaps we could encourage players to slowly drift to stories...

Ive tried a couple of times. I get to about page forty or so before I scrap the whole thing. And when I was happy with it, I could not bring myself to write more than that. I just dont have the attention span, and will probably just stick to poems and short stories from here on out.

FOCUS IS KEY. GRAAARG. Unless there are tips to get around it?

Focus is key. You need inspiration and lots and lots of hard work that must be continuous.

First draft -> lots of time consuming and gut wrenching edits -> polishing -> completed manuscript.
