Let me be clear: gratuitous use of silly one line responses such as "obvious whatever is obvious" and the like is frowned on here in the Backroom. It counts as spam since it adds nothing to the debate save inflating post count.

We expect a slightly higher standard of discussion here. I'd rather rely on members' desire to help maintain a place for respectful debate unlike much of the rest of the intertubes, but I am quite prepared to inflict infraction points onto the pointless.
