Thread: Question on traits -- Elite and Superior

Default Question on traits -- Elite and Superior

Some units have the traits Elite and Superior. I'm curious, what do these mean in game terms? Is there a greater morale bonus, is there some type of extra experience? I'm curious how these are given to the units and what do they mean exactly?

    Thank you!

Those are descriptions on the unit cards. A partly reflexion of the statistics, which you can find in the EDU ( "export_describe_units" file in the data folder of EB ) file are those in the first part of the unit cards. You can expect an elite unit having at least a moral value of "15" ( good morale varies between 4-12; you got 11 for Hastati, 12 for Princeps, and 15 for Triarii, iirc, just as example ). Experience is only given by some buildings ( temples, special buildings etc. ), or can be gained through fighting.

Ok, so it's just description text and doesn't actually reflect an extra bonus of any type. Alright, that's what I wanted to know.
