But this time for a different reason.
Yesterday I made it through an entire conversation lasting almost a full hour without stuttering once. And I was very active in the conversation too. Usually I sit by the sidelines and just listen, every now and then saying something short, but this time I actually led it.
As most of you would understand, such a feat is very special for stutterers like me because these kind of feats are rare and take a huge amount of effort to pull off, especially for an hour.
Needless to say Im feeling very good right now.
BTW, I can go for sentences without stuttering, its just Ive never gone almost an hour while in conversation without stuttering before.
Fantastic
Hooah. You should feel good.

Sounds great. May I ask: how is stuttering actually caused?

No one really knows. Some say its neurological, some say biological, but it is hereditary.
Congrats, Hooah!
England needs you!
A friend of mine in college had a bad stuttering problem. It went away when he got drunk, which always lead me to believe it was psychological.

There are psychological aspects to it, such as it can be made worse, or better in the case of your friend, in certain situations.

Hup ye boy ye well done drinks on me
I've never had a stammer, but I did get very nervous in social situations before. Even very basic things, it makes life unpleasant... but I got over that.
It's a good feeling, enjoy it!
