Wanted to update this a bit, with a little rising sun over the city of Brasov in the summer.

There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.

So, will be visiting Bucha-town for work for a whole week - 9 days in early August. Any highlights? Must sees/dos? Any warnings? Any good places to eat/drink/be merry?

Ahhh, there's plenty to be enchanted about Swords! Must do - party. Muse see - the museums, concert halls and the general spectacle of Bucharest. Lipscani (the Old Town) is a must, and will probably turn into the first place you will see.

Places to eat? Depends on the budget. Zexe and Locanta Jaristea for Romanian food (along wth Caru' Cu Bere), plenty of other restaurants if you want international cuisine.

Be merry? A bit of shameless advertising here, but I outlined them all here in specific detail - http://www.randomwander.com/bucharest-nightlife/

Oh, and Strike buddy, you have to come here and get them.

Here's a couple of pictures from the trip through rural Romania! Transylvania was the target, with a little trip to Viscri as well, Prince Charles' Romanian spot.

    Tower of Stefan, Baia Mare

    Fortified Gothic Church in Viscri

    Fortified Church in Rotbav

    Green fields

Church tower of the Cluj Cathedral

Bit of shameless advertising here, but if you want more pictures, I wrote a blog post about the whole trip - http://www.randomwander.com/rural-romania/
