Custom Battles

Since I changed to ROME TW-ALX.EXE for stability issues I can not play custom battles.Historical battles play fine.

In fact, I can choose map, units but when I opt to proceed to battle, it just halts there (in the units screen).I have to go back to the initial screen (where you choose factions) and then again forward - all settings are kept intact.

Any ideas why is this happening? :-)

I am on Win7 x64 if that matters.

same problem here, but it never bothered me enough to fix it. on ALEX

Sry, currently no access to my Alex disc so I can't check it.
As a workaround, use the normal RTW exe to start custom battles.

randomly worked today actually, but yeah i've consistently had the problem of it simply not going to the next screen when it normally would. its like the issue a lot of people have where they will pick a faction then the arrow, and it takes them back to the main menu. very strange

Xsamatan - its ok.I just made a 2nd shortcut pointing to Rome.exe and now custom battles play fine :-)
