Why, given a comfy 2-1 vote tally, which I could ride to easy victory, would I tie everything up? And why on earth would I then finally desperately point out the absurdity of the decision in such a wifom-laden post such as this? Why? What part of that is in any way logical for the mafioso trying to win? It makes no sense, and that you keep your vote on me practically ensures I will have to switch my vote back to you come the deadline. Use common sense from the viewpoint of me and pizzaguy. You've got about 3 hours to realize I'm innocent. If you don't, and you're innocent, you doom the town to a greasy, cheesy doom. Heck, even if you're guilty you should be switching your vote to Pizzaguy and hope it convinces me to not switch back.

Yes, I'm enjoying it. But talk is cheap, votes are where its at. You've been having lots of good fun between your posts, but when it comes down to it, you still vote to win. You spent like 2 pages of documentation on why you thought JHT was a better lynch choice than me. Why? Either to trick the town into voting your way(as scum) or because you genuinely believe the analysis and that's who you feel is mafia. Or maybe even a bit of both, hard to tell what craziness runs through your head sometimes. But yeah, you can call yourself scum and tease dead townies all you want, but your vote still came down to winning. Enjoying ourselves comes as kind of a 1A to the 1 of winning. Yes, I enjoy the three-way showdown, and I giggled hysterically at GH's reaction. But it also served a point, imo. Because, simply put, votes matter, even as impermeable and ever-changing as they can be. And I, if I was mafia, legitimately reduced my chance of success. Its not like there aren't other ways to enjoy myself while I cruise to victory.

I get the feeling you'd rather win in a daring and dramatic fashion, not the straightforward way. You love being mafia. Just being alive at this stage of the game and in a position where you can triumph has got to be putting you in a plenty carefree and fun-loving mood. Even should you lose, you'd lose in a way that was true to who you are, and didn't feel sneaky or cowardly.

There's also the fact that you cannot really rely on me to keep my word and not switch to you at the very end just for the lols, and to be the dramatic finish to our long-standing rivalry. Maybe you'd feel a lot safer if you had John's vote on me.

I can easily explain all of your actions as being guilty ones, if I wanted to. They do fit who you are. The testament to who you are as a mafia player is that even now, when I could explain this as your final dazzling strategy, I can't describe it as any different from how you'd play it as a townie. You are unsinkable.

Well I won't lie, I do love being mafia, that much you are correct. And yes, it is very much fun to win in a daring, dramatic fashion- you're very much aware of this. At the same time, such flair is always best reserved for times of flexibility, where there's some room for error. There is no such thing in a round of 3. And yes, I would be more comfortable with JHT's vote on you. However, that is irrelevant. If I'm town, I don't want it on me because a lynch of me means insta-loss. Ditto for if I'm mafia. At this point, any chance of me being lynched means I lose, no matter what my alignment is. And don't forget, every so often, I actually do what is in the best interest of my winning, ala back in Capo III when I could have screwed the town and gone mafia when I was director and spared CR and Sasaki. But I figured that was a losing proposition. Granted... that's a bit of a poor comparison, crazy huge game vs vanilla small game, but whatever.

Also, don't underestimate my desire to be sneaky.

I ain't gonna. What's the point of trying to decide who is guilty by analyzing their behavior, then flushing such an analysis out of convenience? John's guilty. He's more than willing to say nothing, because 48 hours is a long time for doubt to sink in. I'm willing to risk the game on my call. Sometimes I make bad calls. Maybe my record in such situations isn't any better than flipping a coin. But I'd still rather decide for myself who I think is guilty rather than flip a coin, removing most of the tension and all of the fun of this game.

If it is you, Khaan, then "we should have lynched you sooner, and not left tempting targets like Pizza and John alive." But that's still garbage. I like the idea of having to pick between you based on nothing but your track record, and I don't care that there were cheap ways of avoiding the situation by removing certain players and not really trying to scum-hunt, just prepare an easy-ish endgame and deny certain players the ability to win.

As far as I'm concerned, the ending can go directly to a three-way tie, which either of you can break at your leisure.

Okay, it's been said this tense finale has been kinda spoiled by my inactivity. In my defence I have been in work for approximately 36 of the last 48 hours and 58 of the the last 72. I've popped in and out of the forums a few times, but haven't had the time to do a defense this situation deserves. Whaterver nice things are said about my mafia playing, I doubt anyone would say I am good at defending myself against a case. My defense is usually a and a meh. I refuse to believe that my performance this game was a winning one. You can sorta tell from the fact that john appeared after it was apparent no one was going to move their vote, and that neither one did it right away, that they were in on the joke.

Therefore, both are guilty, and no matter what sort of analysis I did, I'd only be half right.
