    More news!
    T'was announced, as games usually are, by the UK's Minister for Culture, Communications and Creative Industries;

    Great visit to Creative Assembly one of UK's best developers. Now hiring for new blockbuster based on Alien

    What we do know that it’s described only as an ‘action’ game and will be tackled primarily by the team who made Viking: Battle for Asgard on the console toys. However, CA are staffing up hugely to tackle this game. They’re increasing their UK headcount to 200, and picking up a new 10,000 sq ft studio for the purposes of this. If you’re a UK dev looking for work, you might want to take a peek at their job listings.

    I’m told they’re adamant they’ll take their time over it, having felt that Viking perhaps didn’t get all the resources it needed, and that they’ve been playing with the concept to varying degrees for around three years already, since Viking launched.

    160 people currently work at CA in Horsham. While the studio won't reveal how many people are currently working on the Alien game, it did say it wants to staff up to 200 within a year.

    well, nothing beat Dead Space and Dead Space2 but almost every troops of the necromorph is basically meatshields
    slasher cohorts -> meatshield units
    pack cohorts -> weaker meadshields
    leaper cohorts -> fast meatshields
    exploder and crawler cohorts -> suicide meatshields
    pregnant cohort -> WTF? extra troop spawner?
    lurker cohort -> peasant archers
    puker cohort -> skirmishers
    -----

    well, the closest to heavy infantry is either enchanched slasher or brute cohort...

    Eh creative assembley is trying to branch out into another genre again.
    Being better than the worst does not inherently make you good. But being better than the rest lets you brag.

    Eh, they made a very good TW game again for the first time since MTW. I don't see why they can't learn from past non-TW games as well.
