No, I don't automatically spare players who claim detective. Over half the time, it's a bogus claim.

You are either detective (30%) some other role (10%) or mafia (60%). You could even be a mafia detective, using his detective powers to "clear" people as his alibi.

I say you must die anyway, because I'm unpredictable like that and I also don't like being fooled by fake claims.

Also, ATPG, my scan doesn't clear you two in any way. You could both have bad popularity. You only need to be bad on one. I'm just saying that you are both good favour with Diamondeye. If the other detective (if he/she isn't dead yet), who I believe can scan for popularity, could scan those two, so we know whether they are possible mafia, would be good.

Well done folks. I assume my acting as mafia strategy and joking around is what got me lynched? I hope you haven't killed the other detective yet. (If there is one). There are a lot more players who are bad for the town than me... reminds me of the Chamber.

Why would mafia need a detective ability to clear people Pizza? What an odd thing to say. Nearly as odd as Visorslash thinking there would be two detectives, I wonder was that edit to add the (If there is one)... I suppose the mafia may not know each other, why would you think there are two detectives Visorslash?

It does clear us as soon as the scum with bad popularity dies.

Too many self-votes means that you're not putting your vote on actual suspects. That implies a tactic wherein you have a special role or goal which doesn't help the rest of us. Case in point, my own failed flourish is a purely selfish thing that wasn't helping matters.

Unfortunately, maybe it means you had a good special role. You can't act too out of character or be unable to blend in as a good townie when you've got a special role, you'll attract attention and then be forced to claim and then it's no good anyway.

I can't tell you how many special roles I've mistaken for mafia. People act nervous when they get those for some reason.
