I think he's most likely innocent, purely as he's got too much to loose over a damn chambermaid! FFS, he could get a stunning professional to do whatever he wanted and not run the risk of loosing his job and his whole career. Few women are worth that, and I'm pretty sure the alleged victim isn't one of them.
