A question on multi-players on the expansion pack

I was thinking of buying the expansion pack as soon as it comes out. However, I have one question in my mind! If I have the new version, would it work (on-line) with the existing version (1.12).
If not, there is no point of me buying it quick, when not that many people will have it straight away. Because the main fun will be playing with you guys on-line

There are like 3 other thread topics about this. Expansion will *not* be available for play online until the multiplayer patch comes out, and no one knows when it will come out. It might not be for six months for all we know.

He is not talking about the campaign but the multiplayer modes. He wanted to know if it is compatible with the existing version.

Kuma I think they said t5hat the latest patch is to make it compatible with the current one.

Yes, Dark Phoenix is right. I wonder if it will be compatible with the existing version.
