wont start?

I downloaded eb and correctly but apon start up it pops up with an error saying "failed to intialise 3D audio" im down right baffled and dont know wat to do, can someone please help me?

Please post your current audio card, check for new drivers and start Vanilla RTW and see if the same problem comes up too. Afterwards repost here, we'll sure can get that right!

I dont think its the audio card, cause I have played Rome total war vanila on mine but after I downloaded Eb it started saying that on both Eb and rome total war

EB changes nothing in Vanilla so no clue why RTW complains too.
Please open preferences.txt of RTW and EB and check the following line: 'AUDIO_3D_PROVIDER' (and post its entry here).

You can try by beginning to change it to 'Miles Fast 2D Positional Audio' after creating a backup of that file and see if this helps.

Save your personal data from RTW and EB and uninstall everything, delete left-over files manually. Afterwards install everything from scratch. A new installation magically fixes a lot of things in most times, sound errors included.
