Default Lord of the Rings: War in the North

Is this title worth the great Tolkien novels?

    >>> go here and check it out (note: bloody combat )<<<

I have mixed feelings about this one. Sure Lord of the Rings is great, but will it have the quality to honor the novels?

First thing is the combat. As you may have seen it's quite gory with all its decapitations, dismembering and the trails of blood you leave behind. I have nothing against decapitations or dismembering, but it seems now that every kill ends with one... which is ridiculous.

Adding to that, I don't have a clue about the depth of the combat system, skills, equipment etc.

The developers make big promises and claim that this will become the Lord of the Rings game the fans have been waiting for since the books. They also claim to have created the world as Tolkien described it (more as Peter Jackson depicted it IMO), but I believe I have seen a native mountain Troll in daylight (it appears to be day)! And I'm almost pretty sure they would turn into stone if that would happen (Need confirmation here ).

For now it's to soon for me to judge. Still, I will keep an eye out for this one!

I remember playing Return of the King in 2003 and being disappointed.
Then two years back with much hope I bought LOTR Conquest and couldn't play the game for more than an hour.
So not planning on getting this until I see some really good reviews.
