If you haven't already done, read the EB-FAQ for a first information about the game.

I would also recommend to check the frequent encountered issues of EB for technical questions.

- In the second thread is mentioned that EB takes long to load, so a 'freezing' EB starting screen is no sign of a failure, wait for 5 minutes (depending on your hardware) before quitting.

I hope you did place them in the right folder as said in the download thread
- Check the right version number in the game's main menu
