Unhappy Fighting two battles at once

I've been playing a fun game as Rome but I've run into a bit of a problem I can't fix myself.
I've a few different war fronts on the go. On one I've a city under siege, one turn till surrender, in another my city is under siege, the battling rams are made by the AI.
I press end turn and the under siege city attacks me- easy! They've mostly just got missile troops, my cavalry walk all over them. Job done.
But then its the turn of the siegers to try and attack me. Will be an interesting fight....If I could get to it. Without fail the game crashes every time. It just seems to be incapable of two AI attacks at once.
Is there any possible way to fix this or will I have to break some realism and force my men to assault the under siege city so then I only have one AI attack to deal with?

    Fixes for 1.2 installed?

If I get your post right your city is besieged by two or more stacks?
Try to move one away: https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showt...haracter-in-EB

Check the stacks for FMs with zero movement points this season, can also lead to a crash.
