When my turn came, I saw that the HRE decided to attack Venice, so I besieged them with my best stack and protected the siege with a fort. Hopefully the CS was far away enough to not be able to reach me.

Hey, I was starting my turn and, @Mithridate, I'm pretty sure you're not allowed to be attacking HRE settlements with that jihading stack. Is that correct @Myth?

Just the target city for the Jihad or an actual target city from the Muslim list. Also, any armies that might prevent or endanger either siege. Going on a landgrab along the way is not allowed, else we can just call one on Baghdad and eat the CS Egyptian lands and the Levante all in one Crusade.

yea i took out one army and yea ironically it was a french army. tho what made me laugh was my disgust over that sausage fest in italy and NBs argument that the french are there - so less of a sausage fest altogether coz french are pussies so no sausage and thus less of a sausage fest. at least i guess thats what he meant but anyway i had a laugh
and yea that fort there blocking the path towards that city u are besieging somewhat saved that armys ass. tho u guys outnumber me by far. thats no secret. even with that one french army gone there still is 7 or 8 of urs that i counted. my forces are pretty limited but if i get a good shot alright i ll for sure take it like with this french army

I'm alright with the settlements just being abandoned.
As to the french comment, yes, that is what I meant. (I honestly have nothing against the French though, and actually found them quite kind and hospitable during my visits to their fine country.) But, you know... :)

ive been away from this forum a lot, reading up on stuff now
I have captured regions on the path indeed. Ive marched in an arch, intent on hamburg mostly.
regarding Jihads, jihading armies have not been used to capture non-target settlements
Correction: The Cuman castle North of Byzantion was taken by a jihading army i think -.-'
For that i should be punished, but by/with what? It was off the course i used for most other forces, and it ended where i took the castle. 8 units i think, all of crapquality^^
Question: from way earlier in the thread, cant find atm. But did you guys not use a Crusade on the moors taking other regions?
Or am i simply mistaken? :P

I wasn't in the crusade, but I believe it was only used on Cordoba, and some of the armies guarding the bridge to it, a very direct obstacle. As with Silver, I understand it is just a mistake and think simply having the cities rebel, or gifting them to their original owner, is probably the best thing to do. I don't have any hard feeling over it, I had to check myself to see if this was legal. :)
Of course, it is ultimately Myth's decision.

Wrong. wrong, wrong. The first crusade was called on Silves but the first attacks were directed at Murcia which is in the totally opposite direction for the Spanish armies to march to from Toledo. Since this was allowed even though I protested it is fair for Mithridate to attach any cities/armies along the way. Any other decision is simply hypocritical. Also there were at least 4 stacks of Spanish origin under crusade flags during the course of the war. As one "Muslim" faction can join neither jihad or Crusade this put our side at a total disadvantage.
