Im ok with 48 hrs
Courtesy of our good Phonicsmonkey we have the save for this game! I have the admin password but we can rely on him as well if things get dicey or i go MIA as he knows it as well. Sicily is first in the turn order, but I'd rater be sure we are all on the same page before we start. Visorslash, are the Turks your final choice of faction?

given these recent switches would it be possible for me to change to venice. If this would be difficult I'm fine with sicily, but venice is now my first choice. :)
ahh indecision, you haunt me at every choice.

How are player vs. player battles fought here? I ask because at twc its always auto-resolve with battles against AI playable. And before and after screen shots are required to be posted with editing allowed. But nothing has been said about this in the rules and I don't see any battle SSs in some other threads I've looked at.

Having taken a look at his tips I believe we are allowing battles to be fought against anyone.
As to screens, we generally just go without them here but if you want to post them nobody will object. If something comes into question the GM takes a look and rules accordingly.
This game might be different though.
Nightbringer can have Venice. Yes this game allows for fought battles against anyone (this was decided in the previous thread, I'll update the rules). The reason being that HAs rule in lead battles. Autoresolve and RR off will favor the Catholics way, waaay too much.

That's the way it read to me. But when I attack another player how well will the AI fight the battle for the other player? In its usual (not very good) manner? And of course I expect it to fail for me, too.

I'll go with whatever the GM rules.

Of course, this is why a hotseat with fought battles is very different strategically from one with AR'd battles. Myth has kindly provided some tips on how to play this style in his first post, but in short you have to ensure that you don't give your enemies the chance of a battle by scouting terrain, using forts to block chokepoints and protect your armies and by planning your moves carefully.
