Group Trouble

I joined the Second Tavern group but cannot see the topics.

You cannot see it as you are not currently listed as a member of the Second Tavern. That group is a 'moderated' group, which means the group leader must approve your 'application' before you become a full member. Looking at it now, it seems that TosaInu is the group leader, which is problematic. Since he is no longer around, he cannot approve anyone and thus no one can join. I can manually swap out TosaInu for another group leader, but we'd need to figure out who the proper leader would be. There are issues involved in this decision due to the Tavern's history. At the same time, there have only been about a 20 posts in the Second Tavern in the past year, so it's essentially a dead group. It may not be worth getting into this issue if it's not even being used.

Huh, when I check the Group List it's at the top of the Recently Updated list, as it was when I tried to join. To be honest, I think pretty much all of these groups could be called "dead".

But thank you for the reply. If it's too much trouble I guess I'll just do without membership.

Eh... I'm just being lazy. However, I can be lazy in ways that don't inconvenience members. I'll make the Moderators figure out who's going to take over leadership of that group. When that's done, there shouldn't be any problems with approving new applications to join.

Yes. This isn't 2009 where I am still in high school thinking that the internet is just for trollin. It is 2011, and I think it can be used for learning when you are bored with trollin.

The moderators are still discussing who will take over permanent leadership of this group. In the meantime, I've swapped myself in to the group in place of Tosa and approved the pending membership applications. I will not be moderating the group, I am only there to resolve the roadblock on membership applications.
