At the end of the day politics is just trash compared to the Gospel.
I have experienced this quite a bit with really long posts with lots of quotes. It seems like it started after the last major upgrade before the one that just happened.
Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri -- Quintus Horatius Flaccus
History is a pack of lies about events that never happened told by people who weren't there -- George Santayana
IE8 here.
It has been going on that long therother, but just on super long posts. You can scroll down to see what you've written, but once you take the mouse off the scroll bar, it forces the text back to the top - if that makes things any clearer.
IE8 as well in my case. I only noticed this problem since the most recent upgrade, but I had not made any big posts for a while before then so it may well go back to the previous one.

Perhaps this isn't your problem but if I am reading it right it might be. It is a problem I had some time ago. If you stretch the box out you don't have to scroll. Quick reply or advanced. If this isn't the problem, don't make fun of me! :O
