Official Status of TWC

Mods I would appreciate it if you could sticky this until the situation at TWC has been resolved. Hopefully all the TWC members that show up here will see it and not be posting all over the site asking questions.

The site has NOT BEEN HACKED!

While working on the port from vBulletin 3 to vBulletin 4 some tables were mistakenly copied into the live database which horribly corrupted it. We are working now to restore the database backup from last night. This backup is timestamped at 2:25 AM server time, so all posts created after that will unfortunately be lost. restoring the database will take approximately 4 to 5 hours, and hopefully will be complete around 4:30 PM server time (Mountain Zone, US).

Ok well the restore quoted 5 hours as an estimated time, but its done already (16 cores are worth something I guess) and Squid enabled the site again. We are back up so you guys can remove this thread. Thanks for the help.

To be fair Sim did say in March, the last time a database restore was done, it had taken him more than 3 hours, and the database is bigger now than it was back then, so I figured better to be conservative on my estimate and say 5 hours.
