The Men Of Faith, lead by brave Tahyah will no longer tolerate Catholic influence in Iberia or Northwestern africa. Moorish rule shall be established and the old corrupt rulers removed. We hold no love for the French but will stay our hands should the French and men of the west accept our NAP for we need to deal with our misguided brothers in the east.

The Moorish armies shall unite with all against the Mongols and their ilk if we are given a guarantee of peace from France, HRE and England. First however, we shall take or recieve Palma, Zaragoza and Pamplona for Iberia, Algiers and Beleb el Anab from Northen Africa. The people have not yet decided regarding Tunis and the Byzantine claims further to the East. We have sent an army to Toulouse and will take the Castle hostage, returning it once our demands are met. Should our demands be accept before the castle falls, we shall abort the siege.

Accept our demands, and the west shall remain safe as we bring all our power to bear against the Fatmid. Reject, and we shall wage holy war on France and any who stands against us.


The people cry out to unite our lands once and for all, the ruling classes shall appease them. We know about the atrocities of the Mongols, the corruption and folly of our brethren. We desire to liberate the East, but can only do so once our demands are met and we hold whats rightfully ours.

Id call it a little bit of both :) But extortion, yes.

But the lands are mine by right, Its all formerly Moorish land (giving up 3 regions) or land held by former enemies of moor, who we had to fight for decades/centuries.

The Imperial Ambassador stands to make an announcement to the other emissaries:

"My Holy Emperor would like to announce to the Kings and Queens of Europe and the near East that our Kingdom, the Western Roman Empire, has decided to sever all relations - both alliance and trade rights - with the Moors from this day onward. Such treaties will be officially be ended when a diplomat can be sent to verify our decision with a Moorish representative."

The Ambassador coughs to clear his throat, and speaks sternly to the Moorish emissary:

"I do not have to explain my Emperor's motives, as I am sure your own King is very much aware of them. Cancel your claims for all current French lands and pull back your armies - they belong in the far east where the real men of god are currently fighting to protect our good and kind-hearted liberties. Nations do not mistrust each other because they are armed; they are armed because they mistrust each other. If your King mistrusts us, I ask why your own men sit on the French borders whilst the other nations of Europe are now sending their armies east?"

Turning to face the other emissaries, smiling at the French ambassador whilst doing so, makes another announcement in his bellowing voice:

"I now urge all other leaders in Europe to follow in my footsteps and to consider canceling any trade rights they have with the Moors. I do wish to make it clear though, that, should the Moors renounce any claims they may have to French lands, all trade rights and general friendly relations between our nations and the Moors should be restored to it's former self."

He turns back to the Moor, his face looking rather solemn:

"You have my word on that."

What is demanded is rightfully ours, former Aragon lands AND ancestral Moorish lands!
Refusal will force us not only to invade, but exterminate the innocent misguided people in France.

Our choice to reclaim our rightful land has little to do with trust, the promise to bring our wrath to the east should you accept our demands has.
