The org has a front page? Other than the Throne Room? I do like Myth-keep the tab open here. It's not like I'm interested in other TW games (Ok. I'm not-I'm still anti-Steam.) but it's here first then other places. Bu even those are rare and I haven't seen the front page in a year.

Ya, I'm the same, I have the throne room and game room bookmarked, and just go strait there.

I tend to use short urls like 'totalwar.org' rather than bookmarks, so I see the front page rather regularly. I don't have much interest in what goes on outside the Throne Room either, but every once in a while I catch something that interests me like that Crusader Kings 2 challenge.

Well, we've got one going on in EB, although it seems to have died a death recently...so maybe not just for old fogeys!

My problem with succession games is that I don't really have time to play TW SP anymore. One turn at a time with hotseats suits me fine but the rest of a succession game would be waiting ages for me to complete my reign...

Absolutely no good reason. I'll pm one of the tech admins right now and see if that can be fixed.

Done. Note the new category is empty. To get at previously uploaded just click on the dropdown under "category", choose 2011, and hit "go".

Maybe we should ditch the PBM Announcements sub-forum too as it seems not to be working anyway?

I don't think people use that subforum very often, especially when they can generally find things in the uploader subforum.

If we do end up removing it perhaps wait a little while until all the current saves are in the 2012 section of the uploader section?

Say, just out of curiosity (and to give future ideas about forum games here) would anyone mind listing a couple strategy games they enjoy? There's no rule saying Throne Room games must always be TW games.

As an example some favorites of mine are Europa Universalis 3, Mount and Blade, and the old Dawn of War games, and I've been wanting to try out the new Crusader Kings. Among TW games I also enjoyed TWS2 and ETW (much better after all patches), but haven't played either in a while.

CIV 4. Advance Wars (not exactly a possibility lol). I like the old DoW games, although in a pretty non competitive way. Starcraft 2. RTW. Sins of a Solar Empire. Homeworld 2, although I don't even own it because I can't find it :(

Well Age of Empires/Kings have been my favourite for a long time, and I quite enjoy Stronghold Crusader as well. Granted these are RTS, not turn based games.

I have picked up Knights of Honor once again. I find it quite interesting. Also I play occasionally EU3, Victoria 2 and HoI3. I recently bought NTW and ETW as well so I've played them too but I like NTW much more. Space Empires 5 and Faces of War (Men of War kind of game)as well. The latter I play through mission editor though...

Anyone interested in a mini-RPG using one of the NTW Napoleons campaigns? I'm thinking Italian campaign. It gives a chance to play a historical characters rather than game created ones. Also, small number of players could allow us to progress faster.

I would be, I'd just need to buy Napoleon.

Hey everyone, I'll be a little scarce for the next week and a half, then things should level out. I'll try to keep up with turns or give notice when I can't do them.

I'm quite partial to the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" series, though I don't know quite how accessible they would be to someone who hasn't read the novel. The demo's available on Fileplanet, I reccommend it to everyone.

Regarding a Napoleon RPG, I'm afraid I don't have it either. Not saying I wouldn't necessarily join it, though.

To all the games I'm up in and my fellow players - it's been pretty hectic for me. I am organizing an event and a presentation for the 30th, and I have until the 24th to do so since the 24th and 25th are holidays in Bulgaria. I'm working overtime from home, and I only have time for eating and the gym. Not even Diablo 3.

Also, we had an earthquake right near Sofia last night around 3 AM, 6/10 on the scale. Fun times. I promise I will play all my turns tonight and designate subs for my 24th--27th holiday.

Next week and a half turned out a bit longer (by about another week) than I'd hoped. Things have begun to cool down and I'm back. It may take me a few days to catch up but I should be there soon. Apologies for the long absence.

Awesome derby starting. Depending on who wins, I'll start either a Portugal or Leon-Castille SS campaign and see it trough :)

It took them 90 minutes to get warmed up, but they got there! If they were up against a team that had a stronger offence than one guy (who is rather delicate IMO) they'd have suffered though. The thing is, the game ended 0:0 in the regular time + extensions, and now I have to do penalties of my own. I must compare the rosters of the two factions to choose

Though I've tried a SS Eearly Portugal campaign once and I thought I could make like England and bum-rush the Moors with a Crusade. Boy was I wrong. I got swarmed in a never-ending tide of turbans and crescents.
