Maybe I'm just really slow, but I've always been frustrated with medieval ranged units because I couldn't get them to melee attack until they ran out of ammo, so the only way I could get them to attack close before that was to run them into the enemy. Turns out all you have to do is hold ALT :/

I'm both extreme happy to find this out and very depressed that it was so simple...

It sounds interesting but some of the changes may be detrimental to hotseat play. And we found (actually Byg found) that scripted commands and options don't work in hotseats during the BGR game. It was 60+ turns in when he realized some things weren't working. It will remain to be seen. I'll probably create another install just to test things out.

I'm travelling tonight and will be able to play my turns tomorrow, if any come up. However, from Wednesday until Sunday I will be away. Subs:

WotK, EotA, CoG! - Any who are on my team. For WotK I consider the Moors to not be allied with our team.
    Europa I - Nightbringer
WiC - I really prefer not to be subbed, plus I have no one to assign really. Also, it's a tricky situation with the siege equipment and it being LB.
RRR - I still haven't had the time to play my term, someone else can take over and I will play after them.
MoT - slysnake can sub me.

Whats with people getting drunk every Friday? I havent drink in about a month and i don't have the urge to drink again. Drinking like that only makes you more dumb. Am i the only one who likes being sober more then drunk?

It's good that you are happy with being sober - it suggests that you are comfortable in your life and in yourself and don't feel the need to escape

I prefer being sober. But it can be fun to drink a bit once in a while.

I drink for fun rather then to get drunk. Unlike everyone else around me...

That said, there IS a german club nearby, and it IS my birthday quite soon....

Indeed, escaping by drink is for losers and drifters.

I think that's a very judgmental stance to take. Everyone in their life will run up against problems and it's not always easy to deal with them in the right way.

Tried the registry cleaner. Although I was able to locate and have removed some random MTW2 files that were still on my computer it wasn't enough. Decided to just go ahead and order a copy off of amazon (only about $8). Now I just need to wait for it to come in. Apologies to my subs.

Say, trying to find the right version of 1.05 for my copy of Kingdoms. Not only is it hard to find on CA's main website, but after I found a working link it turned out to be the wrong version.

I have the gold version, everything in English on the front, English and German on the back, with a link for sega-europe. U.K. version? Continental Europe?

Edit: Got it from some help from a certain simian. It was the UK Gold version.

Hi guys, the Lords of the Danube RPG is really starting to get interesting!

The King has just apparently been assassinated by persons unknown right in the middle of a war with the ERE and the Cumans. Meanwhile to the west Venice is sitting in forts on our border.

It's all going to kick off in a big way in the next ten turns or so as we go to war on all fronts!

Problem is, we're a little short on players. There are three avatars which could be adopted by new players.

If you are interested in joining, post here, or PM Nightbringer, or post in the Lotd OOC thread in the sub-forum.

Join the game, it's the most fun you can have playing TW with your clothes on!

Time for another hotseat or two?

Let me know if you guys have appetite and I'll start a game for you and admin it.

I can't join any more games because my second child is due to arrive very soon, but I'm happy to run them.

Well I do remember a Britannia challenge from you? I fear it took so long to set it up, @Vasilefs might have left us for greener pastures.

Also, I really want to give that 100 years war mod a try as England, either a hotseat or an RPG (though I rather don't have the time for an RPG I gather). I installed LTC and the mod seems wonderful and quite close to vanilla in looks.

Also, I'm waiting for SS 7.0 to come out so we can have a Glorious Achievements 2 game.

A TATW 3.2 RPG is something I'd really like to see, if not play in. Perhaps I should run it?
