At least you guys have swords and pikes to fight back with! I quit the only time I played Americas after my fifth or sixth comfortable long distance gunpowder massacre of defenseless villagers. It just seemed really wrong!

In that type of situation I see what you mean, but that type of things is happening in medieval battles to if you think about drafted peasants beings stood in front of armored knights.

The way I see it, in every war you are being horrible and cruel to somebody, and that overwhelms any concerns about who lived there first to me.

I never actually had the patience to play vanilla up until America appears, but I've heard some horrid accounts of half-naked Aztecs massacring Dismounted Chivalric Knights by the boatloads. At least in vanilla no cavalry = dead conquistadores. By the way, if we ever set up a hotseat for the Americas and you guys let me play the Apache I'd wipe the floor with New Spain. Having Jihads + 15/15 melle/ranged attack bowmen? Bring it on gunpowder boys

Ya the gunpowder units in Americas are actually quite underwhelming in my opinion, it all comes down to mounted units, which wipe the floor with anything that isn't mounted.

Cavalry rules lead battles, that's the rule. They'd also lose horribly in autocalc vs. the natives.

I've also done 1/3 of the work required for the GA timelapse, which we can use to further promote the TR.
