Default Tone can be expressed over text on the internet, details inside.

It can be difficult to understand the tone of a post from time to time, often leading to misunderstandings and confusion. However, there are symbols and punctuation marks that are rarely used in common English use (at least in America).

In order to make this place a bit more hipster and to help people communicate their tone better, I suggest that the current admins in charge of site layout allow some shortcut keys to easy input the following characters:

    Irony or sarcastic marks

    Interrobang

What do you guys think? I just like the way they look and don't care when I have to explain that I was being sarcastic.

Perhaps typing "[/SARCASM]" or something similar can do the same and be a lot clearer than a symbol that few people know about.

But I like the interrobang. It is very clear and easy to understand. Why not have it

But that strips the sarcasm of any elegance it might have. It's very blunt and takes away the ability to enjoy it because your eye spots it immediately and prepares you for it, which ruins the effect of it. A different punctuation mark allows for the reader to go about and take in the sentence without any presupposition of its contents and then receive the context at the end.
