Use your bulk to scare the forwards into submission.
Keeper... damn unlucky.
I was always a left back or central defence. My advice is to be the no-nonsense type defender. Just boot the ball upfield at every opportunity. Hold your ground and don't committ to a tackle unless you have to but if you do then do it right and break their shin bones. That's my style!![]()
At the end of the day politics is just trash compared to the Gospel.
Try to stop the ball as frequently as possible using your face

Tap your posts with your feet or hands every so often, it keeps their position in your mind, don't stray too far out in case you lose sense of where the nets are, rather embarrassing to look back to check and see the ball fly over your shoulder when you weren't looking. Don't go to ground too easily, most common rookie keeper mistake and makes life easy for the opposition, stay on your feet and make him make a decision.
