First of all, let me say that EB is impressive beyond words. Congratulations to everyone who had a part in making EB happen.
I have a question about the "add money" console command. When I enter the command like so: "add_money seleucid 100", I get a message reading: "err: faction type not recognised". This happens regardless of which faction I try to give money to. Other commands, like "toggle_fow" work fine. Does anyone know why this is happening or what I am doing wrong?
Thanks
The money command structure is add_money faction, amount
You're just missing the comma, in other words.
You have to use the internal names to add the money to the faction you intend.
Arche Seleukeia - romans_julii
Baktria - romans_brutii
Hayasadan - romans_scipii
Saba - saba
Pontos - carthage
Saka Rauka - pontus
Sauromatae - armenia
Pahlava - parthia
Ptolemaioi - numidia
Qart-Hadast - egypt
Aedui - gauls
Arverni - scythia
Sweboz - germans
Casse - britons
Romani - seleucid
Epeiros - thrace
Koinon Hellenon - greek_cities
Makedonia - macedon
Getai - dacia
Lusotanan - spain
For the Seleucids it would be: add_money romans_julii, 40000
EDIT: Are you playing as the Seleucids yourself? If so, add_money 40000 will work for you. However if your trying to give money to another faction, then the add_money faction, amount command is the one you want.
Actually it's
add_money "seleucid" 4000
Without commas.

Thanks everyone.
"add_money seleucid, 4000" worked to add money to my own faction (SPQR) as a test. What I'm really trying to do is add and subtract money from other factions in order to help some of the weaker factions from getting overrun. Is there any difference if you're trying to add money to an AI faction?
For AIs works just fine with all the names vasilios posted, to subtract simply add - to the amount: add_money seleucid, -4000

Excellent.
Thanks Arjos.
Strange. Doing simply add_money amount - worked fine for me.
yes, for your own faction there's no need to add a name, but is required for AI factions...
If you really want to get the AI going, combine the add_money command with the process_cq command (and to a lesser extent add_population command).
I.e. process_cq Roma will complete all buildings in the building que. Select a city of an AI, i.e. process_cq Babylon and it'll speed up it's building process!

That should be possible. You would need to put each region in manually, though.
That is what lists are for :)
