Of course you do, but you also don't get to hide in simply acknowledging something. It is your generations doing, your generation's arrogance caused this. Your politiical correctness, the suffocating social control, and the harrowing fate that is the prospect of social and professional (or actual) death made even a hint of critisism impossible. I think I can truly claim that it's all on you and yours.

It was the European right which clamoured for mass immigration.

Why? Because it is cheaper to keep wages down by the threat of foreign influx of labour, than to invest in R&D. The costs for the latter are direct, costs for the first are for society at large. That why Japan saw such a technological rise, and the West turned itself into a cheap workshop that not two decades later discovered it would never be as cheap as emerging countries.

The left, the trade unions, resisted mass immigration in the fifities, sixties, seventies. What the left did do, was adopt social justice in the 1970s. We brought them over, so they argued, so we can not simply discard them when we've got no more use for them. Slash-an-burn economy is for the right, they can treat the environment, individuals like that, but not entire ethnic groups, not in the social climate of Europe of the 70s/80s, when the trauma of Europe's crimes of WWII and colonialism pressed heavily on Europe's conscious.

Wrong Japan raised it's tech profile through using Western methods and practices these were chiefly developed by the USA during WW2 to service the war economy.

After the war the West (in reality the US alone) just rested on it's laurels and allowed Japan catch up by not implementing correctly the very wartime ideas it had developed.

Lean manufacturing sometimes called the Toyota production System in reality developed by the USA long before them.

However I would agree that Japan as a society has decided to achieve growth and stability through investment in R&D in order to overcome resource scarcity.

It is no coincidence they are top dog in robot when you think on it for a bit, scarcity means they don't have extra workers or materials to waste.

This led eventually to the Japan scare from the 80s caused mainly by American car companies thinking they were competing on price and not quality.

    See Frags, We're winning!

At the end of the day you can't stop sex and booze. Life is to short and very few people have that big a stick up their ass.

There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.

    See Strike, Fragony is right.

There is such a thing as illegally enforced Sharia law in Western countries. I say that whipping serves the convert right for converting to a brutal religion:

An Australian convert to Islam was pinned down and lashed 40 times for drinking alcohol by a group of Muslim men who broke into his home to punish him for breaking sharia law, a court heard Tuesday.

The man, 31, was allegedly restrained and whipped with a cord in his Sydney house Sunday morning by four men who forced their way in after he went out for drinks with friends.

No Frags is wrong, Do some use sharia law for their own ends. Yes. However some also beat the shop owner for extortion money.

Simply becuase it is happening (IMO on a much smaller scale than Frags apocolyptic dream where all the clogs are thrown into the North Sea) does not mean there is a fundamental shift in law or how it is apllied. It means there is a crime being commited and the perps should be brought to justice. I can run my own kangroo court just as well as the next guy but it means jack all.

That is the point here, I am surprsied so many people are running for the hills simply becuase a few immigrants decided to play rule of law.

Yeah and the main point was that nobody was turning a blind eye to it. Muslims break the law, they are dealt with...
