Well, if you are innocent, which I doubt, I hope you realize that doing this is exactly what got you lynched. If you are townie and have nothing to hide, you should not lie about your role and change your story. Getting caught in a lie is a guaranteed lynch, and you really didn't give the town much choice other than to vote for you.

Plus, you clearly did not think this strategy through. Why would the mafia immediately attack you at night when it looks to everyone like you're immune to night kills?

Really? Just yesterday you seemed to agree with my line of thought, that since I survived an attack, I MUST be lynched no matter what I say. Oh well. And though you claim I clearly did not think it through, then let is just return to where you, among others (myself inlcuded) would expect me to be lynched no matter what. Given that this is what I can look forward to then there are two outcomes; either death by lynch, or Death by night kill.. I pick to 'enhance' the chance to get night killed, as that is really the only sensible choice. I can only agree that to lie is a bad thing for a townie to do, but it would be hard to claim that this case in anything standard. The only reason that I was not lynched yesterday, was because of the dim chance that I might have been a power role.
.. I suppose I reply to such a statement because I take it a bit personal .

anyway I am done defending myself. I might still follow the game though, once I am dead :)
