This tale begins in the throne room of Angra Mainyu's great palace, in Babylon. A young man with dark,
scraggly hair stumbled in past the sentries and fell before Mainyu, who sat in his golden throne. “My lord, the diviners have discovered... it is time!” Mainyu grinned.
“Excellent. I was beginning to wonder if they would come at all.” Mainyu stood from his throne, raising his dark hands to the ceiling. He closed his eyes, whispering to himself, clenching his hands. The air around him crackled with red lightning. A small, opaque, blood red sphere materialized around his hands, and in a flash, expanded, expanding through the walls as though a ghost. Mainyu opened his eyes once more, turning to the sentries. “Order twenty four. Now.”
Three hours later, throne room was filled with all manner of gods and demons and people, whispering amongst each other in confusion. Angra Mainyu stood at the throne, held his hands high, and proclaimed in a booming voice, “Welcome...welcome. Please, everyone, help me welcome our visitors. Those gathered muttered to themselves a bit, still confused. “You may have noticed the red barrier I erected in the city. That is because the time of reckoning is upon us. The nefarious agents of the Netherworld and the Heavens are standing here, right amongst us, in disguise. My diviners have detected their presence, and they have fallen for my trap. Now, with nowhere to go, we shall exterminate them, one by one, and slowly squeeze the life from them!”
“However, I am, if nothing, a generous ruler. Heavens, Netherworld, I want you to make the first move. Everyone, I have arranged residences just outside the palace, but still inside the barrier. Night is very nearly upon us. Go, rest yourselves for the night. Tomorrow, we shall convene here. Make your move, scum....I wait with baited breath.”
BEGIN NIGHT ONE! I WOULD LIKE ORDERS WITHIN 24 HOURS.
