bulletproof samurai and loan sword rush here we come lol!


at a first glance i can c that happening! even though they move slow :)

What r your views on new units?

I always use the Bulletproof samurai in front of my melee core

It protects againgst matchlock fire (well...... it gets killed, but allows my infantry to advance without trouble), and againgst cav charges.... its a good unit also to place in the middle of your skirmish component (counter-cav and hard to kill with ranged - like a naginata samurai)

But mainlly i would use it as a meat-shield..... the naginata samurai is in many ways better. The only thing that matters is that the bulletproof samurai take i think 50% less casualties from matchlock fire

Using 1 bulletproof and 1 naginata absorbs a lot of bow fire

i think the heavy gunners are supposed to counteract this right? at first they kind of over did it though, now they might be a bit underwhelming. i don't own the DLC so i'm not really sure myself.

Hevy gun is to counter LS complaint
Bulletproof Sam is to counter ML rapid fire complaint

If you don't have dlc, keep complaining until patch 9 :P

Personally, heavy gun still very strong. The nerf shy players away from their use, but i think they still worth it despite being a weirdo unit
