Default GM LOLZ at pre-bankruptcy warranties

While it is standard for bankruptcy to eliminate a company/individual's liabilites (except for student loans!) incurred prior to proceedings, it is not standard for said company/individual to receieve an enormous bailout and re-finance at the expense of the public.

I like how the representative of the article acts like the "old GM" are completely different people, from a different planet, when in fact the people who were proponents of the bailout invoked tradition and "remember the old days...." and "american ingenuity" and "we're GM, do it for our babies!"

Nostalgia meh, what must fall must fall. GM is just a company not a lifestyle

I'm sorry, but at this point you kind of have to start blaming the victims. GM vehicles have been patently awful for years, and their customer service has been worse than their products. Anyone who bought a 2007-2008 Impala instead of one of a dozen better competitors is just a glutton for punishment.

We own 2 Chevy's. My 2001 Cavalier is just shy of 200,000 miles and has been very good to me. Having said that, I wouldn't recommend that anyone buy a new GM car at this point.

When the time comes to look at a new gas sipping commuter car, I'll probably check into the Fiesta or Matrix.

no company is too large or important to fall in a true market driven society. it isnt my fault the government doesn't understand that..... however i do have to pay for it now.

Me and my brother have 2 GM cars. One is 11 years old with 175,000 miles and works beautifully. The other is 7 years old with 48,000 miles and works the same.

Anytime I hear the phrase "time to start blaming the victim" I start tuning out.

Get the Fiesta. They can be used in beach assaults.

Reinvent the British and you get a global finance center, edible food and better service. Reinvent the French and you may just get more Germans.

    Nice!
I could definitely see where that would be useful.
I see it can also outpace a Corvette in a shopping mall- again, good to know.
