It shows up that you've edited your post if you edit I think a minute after you post. Editing your posts to correct typos in posts where you do not cast a vote is not a big deal - unless of course you add/remove content from them, in which case you might be called out for scummy behaviour. It's only editing in posts with Votes in that matter, as they have the potential to upset the whole game.
