    Because of limitations on the ability to take a settlement in a single turn (not suing spies, and many factions do not have access to trebuchets) I left that in to prevent defending factions from just hiding in cities and sallying, counting on their superior skills on the field versus the AI since they're guaranteed a turn of safety behind their stone walls.

    One player pointed out to me that this means a single unit could force a full stack to hide behind walls and not sally, which I agree is silly. We could just allow catapults to penetrate stone walls. All factions get at least catapults but only a few (alll good factions) get trebuchets.

    I think allowing catapults to breech stone and wooden walls is fine.

    The art of war, then, is governed by five constant
    factors, to be taken into account in one's deliberations,
    when seeking to determine the conditions obtaining in the field.

    These are: (1) The Moral Law; (2) Heaven; (3) Earth;
    (4) The Commander; (5) Method and discipline.
