Oh, behave. I'm not hitting rogues or doctors, they're obviously protected, and anyone else is someone you want dead as a mafioso anyway.
Chillax, mang. I've taken care of everything.
The PM wasn't sent to EVERYONE. I never got it.
I was also attacked by 2 Mafia and 1 Vigilante group.
Chatting with ATPG, he attempted to subtly hint to let him know if I had any mafia inclination. Everytime I've claimed to be pro-town, and I've also refused to do any Vigilante groups.
For some reason ATPG or someone in his circle has it out for me. Perhaps because they think I'm the detective I'm supposedly protecting (which I'm not) or because they are frustrated they can't find this detective because I'm covering for them.
If that Vigilante attack hadn't failed I'd be dead right now, but I'm not. So take that for what it's worth.

Now you understand, Erebus. I ordered both mafia hits and the vigilante hit on you.
Obviously I didn't send you the message because I don't trust you. Each time I have tried to tempt you to the dark side, you defy me and claim to be a Jedi like your father. As such, the only reasonable and responsible course of action is to fry you with Force Lightning until you die.
That is the only reason I have it out for you. I detest incorruptible Fatlings. You're incorruptible by attitude, if not by role. Now you too will experience the full power of the dark side.

Also someone requested this song, in honor of the size of this thread. It's sort of out of place on my radio station, but what the heck, I'm in a generous mood.

ATPG just has the advantage of being able to pick the winning side. So the families aren't going to care that *surprise* ATPG is planning to betray them, because *surprise* they are all planning to betray each other ANYWAY.
But, let's suppose for a moment what you say is true, and those 6 Rogues were going to pick off all three of those families instead of all the townies. Well then, the town wins with ATPG.
And if neither of those options are what you want, then what DO you want?
Are YOU planning to betray most of the town in the endgame? What makes you a better option?
I just noticed this post, during a re-read.
This is perhaps the most brilliant thing I've ever read. Very insightful, cuts right to the bone of the whole matter.
Well put, Chaotix. Very well said.

As if we can trust any email address you post. I grow tired of your lies, your arrogance and your attempts at intimidation.
People of Fatlington! Hear me now!
The mafia families have grown stronger while we squabble amongst ourselves. ATPG would like us to think that his victory is close at hand, but it is not assured yet. We cannot afford to sit idly by however, we must act.
Yes, it is true that I worked with ATPG up until earlier today. He promised he could make me a rogue detective; that much is true enough. If I had worked with him a few more nights, I would have gotten there. But now I have seen, we have all seen, the hidden strings attached to his words. I was to be "Vode's Sword", part of a rogue squadron, an instrument of ATPG's ambition. Soon after I was told this, GH laid his case against ATPG. That was when I knew that I could no longer work with ATPG.
"Join me or I will kill you," he says. This "blue pill" is nothing but a slower death. Even if he does not act directly against those of us who chose the "blue pill", if we sit idly by he will marshal his mafia forces and win. GH says he can lead the town, but can he be trusted? I don't know, and neither do many of you. He sits behind the Director's desk where we all put him, safe and accountable to no one until we pull him back out.
I offer myself as your leader. I have a few people with me, but not enough. I will make rogues, and I will make surgeons, and we will hunt down the mafia. Why should you trust me though? Well, you can't trust ATPG unless you want to join the mafia, and even then you still shouldn't. Many of you already distrust GH. Who knows who this "Smoking Gunman" really is? All I can answer is this: I am making myself a target. ATPG in his pride assumed that I and the other rogue candidates would blindly follow him wherever he might have led us. When I took his "blue pill," he tried to convince me to change my mind. But now this is what I have to say:
I reject your red pill. I reject your blue pill. And I reject your tainted sword. In their place I offer a gauntlet. I will fight you, ATPG, you and your cronies. Even in death I will fight you, until every threat to this town is destroyed.
Askthepizzaguy 08:49 10-04-2011
That was awesome.
I endorse
Sturmhauke as the pro-town leader. You can actually trust this guy, he totally flipped me the bird privately about joining me.
He's got cojones, and I appreciate that. He's even protected, so he'll still be here tomorrow.

Gimme the blue pill.
Sad. You know, as rogue detective, you can go mafia?
I was going to help you get there. We could have been close allies.
But I respect your wishes. Farewell, my friend.

Vode's Sword is a warrior of unmatched caliber. Trustworthy to send in actions, and definitely doesn't work for me anymore.
Well I'm with Sturmhauke on this. For better or worse. If this is another elaborate plot then I guess we lose.
I would like to extend a hand out to all those confused detectives who don't know who to trust anymore.
I'm pretty obviously not with ATPG, he tried really damn hard to get me in his networks, which I refused, and then tried really damn hard to recruit me to mafia, which I refused, and then tried to get me killed... alot... which I refused.
I've been protecting the identity of a detective since day 2, who has been feeding me with his scans. If anyone else wants a safe place to send their scans, pm me. I will protect your identity unless I'm certain your feeding me trash. They've tried to kill me over and over and failed, so you know I'm resilient. Trust me, I'll be around after tonight too.
Let me be your voice.

I'll send you guys some volunteers. I promise only half of them will report back to me.
If you guess correctly, you'll get useful allies on your side. It's an offer you can't refuse, really.

It may take months, Moros, but there will come a day when you are shown by Seamus, and the parties involved, that it was not me who ordered your death.
Unfortunately you have to stew in your paranoia until then, and it breaks my heart, considering what I have actually done for your master.

By my calculation, the number of players still alive in this game is more than the total for any other mafia game.

[Dead Man Talking]
My apologies for my sudden disappearance last week (though with so many players, I'm not sure it was noticed). We took off on vacation, and I wound up unexpectedly without Internet access for the first few days, and with a misbehaving cell phone. By the time I was able to check back to the thread, I had been unceremoniously dumped off a balcony. Ah well, such is life.
Anyway, I'm sorry that I bailed like that; it was not my intention. For my penance, I think I'll force myself to read each and every post that's been made since I went away.
[/DMT]
My view on it is that both GH and Pizza are Mafia. Pizza is only leaning that way, not really a Don or Luca/Made. I don't really trust Sturmhauke either, but what choice do we have? We must have a Governor who will act for the town. We must rally under him.
thefluffyone93 20:53 10-04-2011
Hmm. Hi everyone!
Sorry for not being around much.
FYI, ATPG is just a wiseguy. He was hit with a role penetrating investigation on Night 5 that said exactly that and that he was not associated with any mafia family. I consulted with Seamus, and role penetrations cannot be spoofed or faked in any manner. The format of the investigation results also matches perfectly with the formatting of other investigation results PMs I have seen, right down to individual night variations, so the results themselves are not fake. ATPG is an unaffiliated wiseguy and nothing more. All of his text-walls and PMs about being anything else are just made up for his own personal entertainment and to direct the game in a way he thinks is interesting. He will probably try and form his own mafia family eventually, but he has not done so at the moment, he has no special role, and he is not some incredible Capo boogeyman.
Do with that information what you will.

How thoughtful of you. Perhaps I'll send you some undercover agents as well. It would be the polite thing to do.

When in doubt,
vote: Sasaki!

Are dead people even allowed to reveal stuff like this if it is real? That seems game-breaking.

I shall repost the dead play rules once again:

There ARE important restrictions than must be observed:
1. The dead may post, but not vote, select, or carry out any night actions (active or passive).
2. Dead players may not reveal their roles publicly or privately until that role has been revealed as per section V and may not reveal their “familiy” or role particulars even after that time.
3. Dead players may not quote from a PM unless that PM has been posted in the public thread by a living player.
4.Dead players may not reveal, recount or allude to their previous night actions (or results thereof in the case of investigations) publicly or privately – even to confirm a previously made public or private reveal.
5. Unsure? Ask the host!
PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH THIS!
Most of the arguments/problems with CdTC in earlier games resulted from dead players venting their frustration by revealing information or some such. As this can spoil the play/chances of others, it is very important that you abide by the rules above. Frustration at your being betrayed is understandable, but remember that it is just a game and that others, including your team-mates and associates, are still at play. Moreover, moderators take a dim view of such antics and could suspend your Gameroom privileges -- please make this rendition of CdTC fun for all even if you are annoyed in the short run.
Regarding the dead restrictions, my role has already been revealed by Seamus, I have not quoted from any PM, and I am not commenting on my own investigation results. As you may note, I am referring to an investigation result from N5, after I was already dead. It is not my result, it is a result from another detective. Since I am not allowed to post the actual PM from which it comes, you only have my word for it that I am telling the truth. Whether you choose to believe me or not is up to you.
TheLastDays 22:27 10-04-2011
This was hilarious! Chuck Testa is my new hero!
Also, TinCow is cinfirming some of my suspicions. Still this all is weird and will be fun to dissolve.

You're wrong Tincow, I am the incredible Capo boogeyman. I just don't need to be CIA or The Wolf to accomplish that, unfortunately.
