I'm not dressing anything up I am actively advocating eugenitcs de facto, and don't feel that bad about it. At least understand who you are arguing with, your moral rules don't mean anything to me

Um, won't announcing that you will go easier on dumb people make said criminals prone to faking in order to qualify? It is completely possible to fake an IQ test, it's just the only time one has a need for such thing would be in criminal defense, petition for welfare and running for public office.

I'm not so sure about forced sterilizing dumb people, as dumb people have the right to make little dumb babies that coo and giggle and make them happy dumb parents. I dunno about criminals. What gives me hesitation against sterilizing even sex criminals is that people are wrongly accused and convicted of rape sometimes, so depending on the manner and level of evidence would need to determine the punishment. .

I am, however, for voluntary sterilization with, of course, a healthy payment to the participant as a bribe to stop breeding. I believed they did this in Chicago or Detroit once a few years back, they offered women a couple thousand dollars to get their tubes tied. Of the 3 women who did it I think they had like 35 kids or something, all of them on welfare and unmarried. Of course, the NAACP went after the guy who was paying the women and called him a racist and he stopped.

Eugenics are scary, and though I certainly don't agree with Fragony's proposal for forced sterilisation, it's a public secret that the mentally retarded (that's an IQ below 70, IIRC) are discouraged from procreating.

I'm all in favour of punishing maladjusted scumbags, regardless of color, under the full extent of the law for anti-social offences. However I don't see why we should punish them more severely if they happen to be, you know, incredibly stupid. It's not as if highly intelligent repeat offenders are more desirable. And giving courts the authority to bar someone from getting kids may be a cure that's worse than the ailment.

@MRD: If I understand Fragony correctly this is just the police trying to get more meaningful stats about the people who regularly camp out over at their place. They're still presented with the full bill for the trouble.

As for IQ tests I'm not sure who thought of it, but whoever did think of that might want (or not) to sit an IQ test under conditions overseen by a competent examiner. I don't doubt the resulting score would immediately sober him up.
