From memory, I think the team has said no. But who knows, I could be wrong.

I doubt it. For the simple reason of the scripts that will be needed to run EB II.

We haven't considered it yet, we probably won't though if you can't have scripts.

The last time I asked this question I got an ambiguous response.

It is quite possible to run hotseats in mods with heavy scripting, depending on how the script is written. For example Stainless Steel and Broken Crescent both use scripting and hotseats work just fine in those mods. Of course the EBII script is likely to be much more complex than either of those, if EB is anything to go by. It's possible that the script will need modding in order to work with hotseat mode or that some of the features will not work correctly.

However given that hotseat mode is hardcoded into Kingdoms I would suppose it would be possible to run a hotseat in some form, even if it is not officially supported by the mod.

I'm happy to beta-test whether hotseats work in EBII if the team would like me to!

I would be happy to beta test it along with you, and I'm sure we could bring in a few others from the throne room.
