    Default Shogun 2

Hey guys, finally got myself Shogun 2 and I must say it is very epic, well worth the $100 I had to pay and the 5 hours of downloading update to play.

Though I haven't even been able to win a short campaign on easy yet. My allies always drag me into wars or they attack my vassals and I always get bogged down in pointless fighting in areas that I can't just let go but also don't really want to be in. Ends up wasting time so I can't reach the provice capture limit before the time runs out.
But I like it, I don't really care about winning too much, I just like playing the game.

I got one question though, My allies, the hattori have recently attacked my vassals, they did it before, even after I helped them destroy the ikko ikki, anyway it is said that all their units have the kisho(?) ability that lets them deploy anywhere, does the AI use this? Am I going to get ambushed and slaughtered on the battle map by them?
A ha ha! Rainbows and unicorns! Rainbows and unicorns!

I believe they do, but the AI will never use it to its fullest extent. The only thing it really does is speed up the amount of time it takes for the army to get to you. The other positive benefit is that, in the defensive, they can deploy their army at the best possible vantage point a lot quicker/easier. I really like the Hattori because of this.

There are many guides that you can look at too for beginner tips. The things about allies is a common problem even with veterans of the series. It's always a possibility that the clan you choose to ally with will drag you in to unnecessary wars (in your eyes). You'll just have the weigh the benefits and the disadvantages of being allied with another clan. Personally, I rarely choose to ally unless it depends on my survival (such as when I know a clan is an up and coming power and I'd like to keep them from attacking me just yet). I also typically only ally with clans that are at war with who I'm at war with, or close to it at least. I prefer vassals myself, because there will always be a benefit to keeping them your vassal (trade and the extra bonus income they give you for being a vassal).
