Err.....I can access the main menu, but....

Bought Rome Total War Gold Edition off Steam about 8 months ago. The first few times I booted it up, it ran perfectly.

Just recently I lost interest in my other PC games and decided I want to give RTW another go. Well, unfortunately for me, this quickly became impossible. After reinstalling it on Steam I immediately loaded up my most recent campaign (after adjusting the settings to welcome my new RAM (I increased the number of soldiers on screen from Normal to Large) Hitting the Resume Campaign button in the menu got me to my previous campaign as Sparta. Only problem here is that I cant move my mouse, its literally locked in place on the screen and will not move.

I just today bought a new mouse and it hasnt solved anything.


So to summary: I can run the game, and get to the menu screen. Whenever I try to do anything else,my mouse locks up and I cant do anything. Its not just mouse lag, its actually that I cannot move the mouse.

Anyone could help id be much,much obliged!

have you tried it with the old unit sizes?
