Went out shortly after finishing my lemonade. Got absolutely battered on a mix of Peroni, Bulmer's, an ale whose name I forgot, some mystery drink that my friends said was an Ozzie white wine despite being neither white nor a wine and Jamesons. Woke up today to find my mouth feeling like it was carved from sandstone, a weird stain on my shoe and multiple replies to texts I had sent the previous night.
Trying out a new infusion I've been brewing at home. Black pepper, green chillies in Vodka. See you guys in the backroom thread.
The horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight.
i am drinking pepsie/coke. and that's all i will ever drink. i am going to try to stay away from alchihol for the hole of my life
Beer and cider. Pretty damn good cider, too.
EDIT: To clarify, I went drinking with a bunch of goons from the SA forums. Hilarious.

Somehow, I never tried Vedett before a year or two. I must say I like it better than let's say Stella or Jupiler.
Finished last Friday with an 18 year old Caola Ila. A bottle I got for my birthday; it's excellent stuff. A pity it's almost empty and it's still months until my next birthday. I do know where my wife found it though, so I might as well buy a bottle myself.

I only started to appreciate whisky on our Scotland trip in 2007. I'm not going to say I know a lot about it, and I don't drink it that often, but that Caola Ila is a true joy to drink.
We had a very bad summer, but during the few days the weather was good, I spent long evenings just sitting there, drinking my whisky and enjoying a cigarillo (I'm not allowed to smoke inside and I'm not so addicted that I go out smoking when it rains; so I only smoke when the weather is good enough to sit outside during the evenings; luckily for my health, that doesn't happen a lot in Belgium). Life can be good sometimes.
Autumn and Winter are coming near, excellent periods to sit next to your wife, under a blanket, enjoying whisky (yes, my wife likes whisky tooTook me a while to convert her though
) and sharing body heat.

Same here (about the whiskey, I have luckily avoided smoking at all), I can't say I know a lot about whiskeys but I like good whiskey and kind of enjoy just a bit of it when I feel like. Couldn't drink stuff like Jack Daniels to get drunk or something like that.
I haven't had any alcohol in quite some time. It doesn't really agree with me anymore. However, I do enjoy a good sangira. Not the crap that tastes like kool aid with some cheap wine in it. You know, the cheap wine that comes from a gallon jug? Blech! The only place I have had a good sangria is at this one authentic Mexican resturant that is quite a hike from where I live. I haven't been there in years. I do make a lazy mans sangria though (not recently). Half dry red wine and half orange juice. Mmm, good, yum. Back in the day, if I could catch a buzz before the heart burn set in I was on my way to a pleasant black out. Not anymore. :) Everything in moderation is my motto now.
Silence is beautiful
You put orange juice in sangria? Around here it's basically red wine with mixed fruit in it.
I forsee friday I'll be drinking a lot of beer and end with a BBQ and a nice trappist.
