I use Opera. Firefox is the go-to for stuff not working for me, though.

EDIT: As in when stuff doesn't work on Opera, it usually does on Firefox.

I've discussed this elsewhere, but the Firefox team is kinda leaving me bummed. I may bow down to the Google overlords and switch to Chrome for my mainstay.

I switched to Chrome about three years ago and never looked back. It now supports opening PDF's and also has Flashplayer integrated into it.

If I'm running OSX I use Chrome and Safari, if I'm in Windows 7 I'm running Chrome and IE. If it wasn't for flash I wouldn't even run Chrome. I purposely don't install Flash anymore on a computer because it's such a security hole.

I don't know how to break it to you, but Chrome comes bundled with Flash. So if you install Chrome you install Flash automatically as well.

Type into the address bar, and it automatically searches on Google. After all, they made the damn thing, so they're going to integrate it as much as possible.

Hmm....now that you guys mention it, lately I'm experiencing quite a bit of instability and lag with my Firefox. Should I switch to Chrome then?

I do have this large collection of pink flowery themes ('perosnas') for Firefox that I'd miss.

Do they have these for Chrome?

Take your pick.

My greatest gripe with Chrome is its inability to save webpages as text files, despite being a feature of nearly every other browser out there, and despite it having been requested a year or two ago (in Chrome terms, that's around 20 full releases ago).

The Firefox team decided that the public has ADHD and jumped on the "release a new version every month" wagon. It's wasteful and unnecessary. I have not had a problem with the releases, but I am not using the GUI features. My browser configuration looks almost exactly the same as it did back in 2006.

I'm using Firefox 3 and I still love it after all these years. Chrome is nice, but there are quite a lot of extensions in Firefox I really cant live without (and they wont work on version 4), and version 3 is still being updated (currently 3.6.23). Just because you can update to a later version (4.0, 5.0, etc) doesn't mean you should.

Good point, KI. I found another way to force compatibility with Firefox 100.0 or whatever frickin' version we're using on a Monday: Nightly Tester Tools. Download, install, and then you get an option to "foce compatibility" for your addons. Insane that we have to use such workarounds, but there it is.

-edit-

Gah. Nevermind. I've had it with Firefox, typing this in Chrome. All hail our Google overlords! Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos!
