Proletariat has joined the moderator team for the Backroom. (I actually like the sound of that)

Reinvent the British and you get a global finance center, edible food and better service. Reinvent the French and you may just get more Germans.

First that raving lunatic left-winger known as "Beskar", then they bring in the "Proletariat"...

I think we need to construct some "Down with Evil Socialist Moderators" slogans and picket outside Org Headquarters.

Oh hell, a woman moderates the Backroom.

We'll all have to put our tousers back on, and wipe the week-old beer off the tables.

Thanks everyone. I haven't posted much here in awhile but anyone with the ability to see lurkers knows how much I still spend here, even when I shouldn't.

In my job, and my circle of real life friends, I just don't have enough people who care about the 'Euro gun rights octobortion Israel wipe off the map occupy the lesbian sea otter foundation' issues that dominate my fascination with current events. You guys are pretty much my number one way of how I digest and process world events and I get my thirst for arguments quenched right here and will try and do whatever I can to keep this a nice and fair but not a boring place. (ie, gonna let Pape and Beskar do all the work)

We are all aware that the senses can be deceived, the eyes fooled. But how can we be sure our senses are not being deceived at any particular time, or even all the time? Might I just be a brain in a tank somewhere, tricked all my life into believing in the events of this world by some insane computer? And does my life gain or lose meaning based on my reaction to such solipsism?

    congrats.
There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.
