There has been a lot of building activity lately and I would love to see that in HighRes.
I will try and work on that in the near future. I've been very busy lately; I started a new job on Monday which is eating up a lot of my weekday time and I'm going to be out of town this coming Friday through Sunday. I will try and find time to get it back online the following weekend.

    Thanks for the quartz Ishmael!

I have started to make a river-walk path along the North side of the river that runs near the city. Ideally it will stretch from one end of the city to the other. It is really basic at the moment, but would like to pretty it up with nice light fixtures and greenery. We can also have small parks along the way in places that buildings won't be. I would love for others help out with this project.

We also need to start thinking of how we cross the river and where the bridge would be. I believe that we slated the hills south of the town hall and lodge to be an old-town of sorts. Anyone want to take a stab at a design aesthetic for buildings on that side of the river? Perhaps we make those more residential/lower density than the bigger buildings around the town hall.

Lastly - a question. After riding the rails some, I am quite impressed by the raised train track. Is there an easy way to build out into open space, or do you have to do it one careful step at a time so you don't fall to your death?

How would people feel about using an HD render of the realtime map instead of the separate Overviewer map? Here is an example of the realtime map with the isometric view rendered at a higher resolution and with a better viewing angle. (Select world -> Surface) Changing our realtime map to look like that would be significantly easier than setting up Overviewer on the new server, so if those results are acceptable that would be a preferable alternative.

The only thing we are going to miss is the night render.

Dynmap can do a night render as well.

I think the Dynmap is great for every day use. It would be nice to have the higher resolution one every once in a while, say once a month or so. The aspect ratio is different and makes for prettier screen shots and a good look at the detail that has gone into everyone’s buildings.

No idea if that is easy to do every once in a while or not… but like I said the one we have now is great for every day use.

I thought that map was Orgcraft. I was surprised to see how much it changed, until I realised it was a completely different map. I also saw the Iron Trench on that map. Speaking of which, my time is being heavily consumed by work and by the time I get home, I'm mentally fatigued. I have delayed building the Iron Trench until my mind can handle it. Which might take a while. Hopefully, I can start it next week.

Good. I'll need lots of iron soon.

Reinvent the British and you get a global finance center, edible food and better service. Reinvent the French and you may just get more Germans.

I think this will be fine - especially if we are getting the night render as well.
And we are getting the Nether and End, which I don't think we had before when we only had the HR map.

And of course, TinCow, you are the one calling the shots here as you are doing the main work.
We are merely here to enjoy what we get.

I completed the rough river walk path from the lodge to the farm area. I also built a bridge over the river and connected the road to danhooks’ ranch. Speaking of… I “borrowed” about a dozen stacks of cobble from the ranch. I thought I saw somewhere earlier in this thread that he hasn’t played in a really long time. I can certainly replace it over time if needed, but figured I’d put the resources to good use.
